A splendid beach, sheltered in a “shell”,
between the Pine Forest and Sea, characteristic for its aristocratic and cosmopolitan look. Land of poets, inspiration of
many artists and the thrill of those who like sports such as fishing, surf, beach volleyball, tennis, jogging and bicycle
riding or just walking. Apart from fine Hotels, S. Pedro de Moel has a magnificent oceanic swimming pool. São Pedro de Moel
has many “cafés” and restaurants serving excellent fish dishes. It has a camping site and other interesting small
beaches nearby such as Praia Velha, Água de Madeiros and Polvoeira, all enhanced by the green of the National Pine Forest.
One can also visit the Museum House of the Poet Afonso Lopes Vieira (Portuguese poet 1878-1948) and the enjoy the local architecture
and the magnificence of the Lighthouse at the “Penedo da Saudade”.
