The 2 storey stone cottage is over 200 years old. It has a footprint of 70m2 and has recently been tastefully, completely renovated in a traditional style. The roof has been fully insulated with the wooden beams exposed, there are wooden floors and ceilings, and the exterior walls have been pointed leaving the stonework exposed. The doors and windows are double glazed with internal shutters. Aluminum guttering, external lighting, and an external tap have all been fitted.

The cottage comprises of an entrance hallway with a wooden staircase leading up to an open-plan lounge and kitchen with wooden floors. The kitchen has fully fitted oak kitchen units with sink, halogen hob, oven, and retractable extractor with lights. Situated in the lounge area there is a powerful wood burner made of cast iron.

The large bedroom has a tiled floor and fitted wardrobes with sliding doors. The bathroom is fully tiled and has a fully fitted suite with toilet, sink with vanity unit, shower cubicle, and electric hot water boiler.

The cottage has mains electricity and mains water connected, with connections for a washing machine and dishwasher. Drainage is to a septic tank.

Near the cottage is a new, solid wood cabin, 3m x 3.5m with walls of 4.5cm. The cabin could be used as an extra bedroom or for storage purposes. The floor is tiled and it has electric connections.

Just outside the cottage is an old stone threshing circle which has been restored and converted to a terrace, an ideal place for outside dining.

There is also an impressive secondary balcony/terrace made out of a huge pile of rocks, with stone steps leading to the top where there are beautiful panoramic views - your own little castle!

The cottage has good access and is in a south facing position. Located in a small village in the mountains behind Ansiï¿½o, Central Portugal, which is just a 5 minutes drive away. The cottage is set in its own land in a corner of the village, it is not overlooked, and is very private without being too isolated.

Far behind the property there is a small range of mountains with great views and lots to visit, like the traditional windmills. There is a beaten track on top of the mountain which is suitable for any vehicle, and which extends for miles, and is a 'must do and see' in the area.
